Text QR vs URL QR — When to Use Which

Character Limit and Encoding
Standard QR codes (version 10 used here) hold roughly 270 characters in byte mode — enough for a paragraph. Hindi and other Indian scripts take more space per character because Unicode is multi-byte, so a Hindi QR holds about 90–100 Devanagari characters. If your text is very long, split it across multiple QRs or use a URL QR pointing to a hosted document instead.
